How we do it

Collaborative Partnerships image

Collaborative Partnerships

Doors of Hope Kenya fosters and strengthens collaborative partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations, and international bodies. By forming strategic alliances, the organization leverages resources, expertise, and networks to expand its reach and impact. Collaborative partnerships help in establishing rescue centers, formulating policies, and implementing programs more efficiently and sustainably. Additionally, partnerships lead to better coordination of efforts, avoiding duplication of services, and maximizing the overall effectiveness of the organization's initiatives.

Community Engagement and Empowerment image

Community Engagement and Empowerment

Doors of Hope Kenya prioritizes community engagement and empowerment to ensure that its programs and initiatives are tailored to the specific needs of the target beneficiaries. Engaging with local communities, persons with disabilities, and other key stakeholders provides valuable insights and feedback to guide the organization's decision-making process. Involving beneficiaries in program design, implementation, and evaluation leads to more inclusive and impactful interventions. Furthermore, community involvement fosters ownership and sustainability, as local communities embrace and support initiatives that they actively participate in.

Advocacy and Policy Influence image

Advocacy and Policy Influence

Doors of Hope Kenya intensifies its advocacy efforts to influence policies and create an enabling environment for persons with disabilities. By engaging with policymakers, government officials, and relevant authorities, the organization advocates for disability-inclusive policies, allocation of resources, and implementation of best practices. Effective advocacy leads to the development and adoption of gender equality and SRHR policies, the establishment of SGBV rescue centers, and the integration of disability-inclusive practices in various sectors, such as education and healthcare.
